Are the Emergency Survival Kits only for emergency purposes?

We recommend that you frequently take your Survival System apart and put it back together. We feel it’s imperative to learn your equipment so when an emergency does strike, you’re not scrambling to find a tool you desperately need. Some of our systems, like the series of Base Camp modules that we sell, are ideal for camping, just as well as bugging out. Just remember to repack your Survival System neatly after every use, the whole point in owning one is to have everything assembled so when an emergency happens, you are ready to go!

Why did you guys start this company? What exactly are you preparing for?

The founders, Fabian Illanes, and Roman Zrazhevskiy started this company to make people more self-sufficient. Instead of relying on the government to be our saving grace each time an emergency happens, RTGS wants to empower the individual to make the right choices and have the right essentials when disaster strikes. We are not preparing for anything in particular, as gloom and doom speculation can drive even the most stable people mentally insane. We do however use common sense and realize that the world is changing at an alarming rate. Every day, you hear of wars and rumors of wars, natural disasters, famine, man-made disasters, terrorism, and other disturbances which would take several days to list. It’s not a question of “if” these events will unfold, it is a question of “when”. When these things do happen, we want the general public to be proactive at escaping danger and getting themselves and their loved ones out of dodge. We generally advocate taking common sense precautions so when disaster does strike, you will be ready to deal with it.

How do you guys decide what goes in an Emergency Survival Kit?

Our team is comprised of first responders, law enforcement, military, outdoor enthusiasts, preppers, and gear heads. Collectively, we have enough outdoor and emergency experience to assemble the best emergency survival kits. We came together and decided what the best balance of gear was for emergencies that won’t break your back. It is important to stay mobile, and carrying more than a quarter of your body weight is not only unrealistic but foolish.

What does it mean when people say “SHTF” and “TEOTWAWKI”?

They mean “shit hits the fan” and “the end of the world as we know it”.
